2010 SUSTAINED BUSINESS GROWTH THANKS TO THE GROUP’S ACTIVE ROLE IN FINANCING THE ECONOMY
In 2010, BNP Paribas confirmed the robustness of its diversified and integrated model driven by the needs of its customers. All the Group’s employees are dedicated to supporting their clients—individuals, corporations and institutionals—in their plans. Retail Banking’s income rebounded greatly; Investment Solution’s income grew again and Corporate and Investment Banking maintained a contribution as strong as in 2009.

BNP Paribas generated more than half of its 2010 revenues from retail banking and specialised financial services.
Its retail banking networks have 22 million individual, professional and small business customers and 200,000 corporate clients, whilst its specialist credit activities have 13 million active customers.
Retail banking activities employ more than 148,000 staff in 52 countries, representing 72% of the Group’s headcount.
